The annual Charity Indoor Tournament took place this weekend as nine teams from the Solent League were joined by the visiting Brighton Beachcombers at the Fareham Leisure Centre. This year was in aid of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance; along with the profits from teams' entries and the charity raffle, we raised almost £1000 to kick off our year long fundraising.

The Chichester Falcons fielded two teams (red and blue), with both finishing in the top two spots in Group A after Falcons Blue defeated the Falcons Red in the opening match 36-33. 

In Group B, both the Vikings and Sluggers went unbeaten until they played each other in the final group game, with the Sluggers coming away with a narrow 33-31 win to send them to the Gold Grand Final.

Remarkably, the Grand Final between the Sluggers and Falcons Blue ended in a tie, with the Falcons taking the trophy on a pitch-off! The Vikings defeated the Falcons Red in the 3/4th "Captains" Final 28-22.

The Dodgers finished in 3rd place in Group B with a 2-2 record and faced the summer attired Beachcombers in the "First Mate" final. The Dodgers came away 25-21 victors.

The Hurricanes and Krakens faced off after both finished 4th in their respective groups. As this final occured prior to the grand final, a hasty look at the rule-book and umpire conference was called as the game finished a 25-25 tie. The Krakens took the victory on a pitch off.

Finally, the Southsea Sharks and Solent Seals played in the "Seafarers" final, with the Sharks ending up 22-18 winners.
